“I am thrilled to announce the second Tianjin Juilliard Piano Festival taking place this summer at our iconic home for the performing arts in Binhai. Last summer’s inaugural festival was a great success in bringing together renowned pedagogues and talented young pianists from all over the world. We welcome participants and audiences this summer to experience our state-of-the-art facilities and immerse themselves in an unparalleled artistic environment. The piano festival represents our vision to connect people and communities through musical celebrations,” remarked Wei He, CEO and artistic director of The Tianjin Juilliard School.

“One of the highlights of the festival is the opportunity for six Young Artists to perform full concerti with the Tianjin Juilliard Piano Festival Orchestra, led by our resident conductor Ken Lam. This year, we are adding a special concert featuring up to six Junior participants to perform with the exciting QingXin Ensemble. These formative performance opportunities are critical to a young pianist’s growth and development, and underscores Tianjin Juilliard’s commitment to educating the next generation of musicians,” noted Robert Ross, the senior administrative director of the festival.

“After the resounding success of our inaugural 2023 Tianjin Juilliard Piano Festival, we are happy to invite you to the upcoming festival in August 2024. We have assembled the highest-level pedagogues and performers from around the world to provide you with an exciting and inspiring educational experience this summer. The variety of musical activities and the unique opportunities will once again make this an unforgettable festival,” said Yoheved Kaplinsky and Xiaohan Wang, the festival co-artistic directors in a joint statement.
